Welcome English 1301 Students of Professor DDK

This guide is designed to help you find information on a variety of problems and their solutions.  See Professor DDK's assignment below.  Note that the topics listed are just a few examples; they are not intended to limit your choices.

Research Assignment:

Students will be working on a problem/solution essay focusing on a personal issue rather than a major social issue.  Their topics will be things such as finding a job in a recession, paying for school, losing weight, procrastination, quitting smoking, potty training a toddler, overcoming anxiety, or buying a car.  They will need at least 3 - 4 sources from the library databases.  They can use a reliable web site and a personal interview, too.  The essay should be 4 - 6 typed pages.
