From our 2011-2014 Unit Review:
The 2009-2013 remodel of the Library is a wonderful improvement that is greatly appreciated by students and is bringing them back into the library for study and research. There is adequate lighting, numerous electrical outlets placed throughout the floor, and noise filtration that creates a pleasing atmosphere for study and research.
Eighteen group study rooms were included in the remodeling. Prior to this the library did not have group study rooms available for students. These rooms are popular and heavily used additions to the library. Whenever the library is open a group can “check out” a room for three hour use at the Library’s reference, circulation or 4th floor counter.
Library attendance figures are unavailable for 2012 as gate counters were removed for remodeling. Attendance was reduced during most of the library’s remodeling project due to noise issues and lack of space. Attendance has greatly increased since the remodel was completed.
