What is a TexShare Card? A TexShare Card is a card that registered users of participating Texas libraries can obtain from their home institution and use to borrow materials directly from other participating libraries.

Where and how can SAC students, faculty, and staff obtain a TexShare Card? Current SAC students, faculty, and staff may obtain a TexShare Card at the 4th floor Reserve Counter in Moody Learning Center (MLC 409) or at the 3rd floor Circulation Counter in Moody Learning Center (MLC 308). You must present a current SAC identification card with the Banner ID number, have no overdue books, owe no fines, and complete a form.
What are the policies and procedures concerning the TexShare Card? SAC students, faculty, and staff who obtain a TexShare Card agree to follow the lending policies of the participating libraries. When does the TexShare Card expire? The TexShare Card expires at the end of the semester for students and on August 31 for faculty and staff. Until its expiration date, the TexShare Card may be used again and again at all participating libraries.

Where are the items to check out? Items to check out are on the third floor in Moody Learning Center (MLC) 308.
How many items can I check out and what is the loan period? TexShare Card users can check out up to five items for two weeks. Items checked out with a TexShare Card can be renewed one time only.
Can I put a "hold" on an item? No, TexShare Card users cannot put a "hold" on an item that is checked out.
What is the fine for an overdue or lost item and where do I pay a fine?
