- INTERPOL
INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 190 member countries. Our role is to enable police around the world to work together to make the world a safer place. Our high-tech infrastructure of technical and operational support helps meet the growing challenges of fighting crime in the 21st century. The idea of INTERPOL was born in 1914 at the first International Criminal Police Congress, held in Monaco. Officially created in 1923 as the International Criminal Police Commission, the Organization became known as INTERPOL in 1956.

- BJS: Bureau of Justice Statistics
The Bureau of Justice Statistics was first established on December 27, 1979 under the Justice Systems Improvement Act of 1979, Public Law 96-157 (the 1979 Amendment to the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, Public Law 90-351). The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is a component of the Office of Justice Programs in the U.S. Department of Justice.
- DEA: Drug Enforcement Administration

From the site: "The Drug Enforcement Administration was created by President Richard Nixon through an Executive Order in July 1973 in order to establish a single unified command to combat "an all-out global war on the drug menace." At its outset, DEA had 1,470 Special Agents and a budget of less than $75 million. Today, the DEA has nearly 5,000 Special Agents and a budget of $2.02 billion."

Enforces federal laws governing border control, customs, and trade & immigration. CE consists of three directorates to accomplish the agency’s mission, including Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and Management and Administration (M&A). - National Commission on Forensic Science
From the site: "n 2013, the Department of Justice (DOJ) established the National Commission on Forensic Science, in partnership with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to enhance the practice and improve the reliability of forensic science. This unique partnership draws upon each agency's core strengths to promote scientific validity, reduce fragmentation, and improve federal coordination of forensic science." - OJJDP: Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention
Links to E-news, Topics, Programs, State Contacts, Publications, Statistics, Events, & Tools. A component of the Office of Justice Programs of the U.S. Department of Justice, Congress enacted the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act (Pub. L. No. 93-415, 42 U.S.C. § 5601 et seq.) in 1974. This landmark legislation established OJJDP to support local and state efforts to prevent delinquency and improve the juvenile justice system. On November 2, 2002, Congress reauthorized the JJDP Act. The reauthorization (the 21st Century Department of Justice Appropriations Authorization Act, Pub. L. No. 107-273, 116 Stat. 1758) supports OJJDP's established mission while introducing important changes that streamline the Office's operations and bring a sharper focus to its role. The provisions of the reauthorization took effect in FY 2004 (October 2003).
- Office for Victims of Crime
Another component of the Office of Justice, this agency helps with the vital task of helping victims, and now includes human trafficking information.
- TSA: Transportation Security Administration
Established in 2001, TSA is responsible for all civil aviation security functions; hires, trains, & deploys security officers for over 400 commercial airports; and provides 100% screening of checked baggage for explosives.
- U.S. Marshals Service
We now know this Service is the oldest federal law enforcement agency, formed in 1789. DHS combined 22 different federal departments and agencies into a unified, integrated cabinet agency when it was established in 2002.
