How Curbside Pickup works


Curbside pickup is offered to support the needs of our academic community.
How do you do it?
  1. SELECT: You request items by searching Discovery: the catalog & more
  2. RESERVE: We prep your items then send you an email to schedule a pickup appointment online.
  3. PICKUP: You pick up items during the appointed time in the Moody Learning Center Parking Lot #16.

When?
  • Pickup appointments are available in 15-minute increments,
    • Monday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
    • Wednesday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
    • Friday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Who's this for?
  • This service is primarily intended to serve San Antonio College faculty, staff, and students with a SAC ID.

How do I return?
  • You may return materials to the book return near the entrance to Moody Learning Center on the parking lot side of the bldg.

Your safety
  • The library staff have set up numerous safety precautions for both patrons and staff, including all guidance provided by Alamo Colleges, the CDC, and library-specific organizations such as the American Libraries Association.
  • Safety precautions include quarantining materials for 72 hours upon return, staff wearing masks and gloves, and adhering to physical distancing guidelines.
  • Please note that despite the Libraries’ best efforts to help ensure user safety, the Library cannot guarantee that all collection materials are 100% free of any infectious material at the point of delivery to users via curbside pickup.
    Users who choose to participate in the curbside pickup service do so at their own risk.

The details?
  • Physical items in the library will be available to request for pickup service.
  • Course Reserve textbooks will be available to request for pickup service but will check out for a limited 48 hour period.
  • Let us know when you schedule the pickup appointment if you need ADA accommodations, and library staff will reach out to arrange a different pickup location.
  • Wear a mask and arrive within your appointment time frame in order to facilitate physical distancing from other patrons with adjacent appointments.
  • Library staff will ensure a contact-free pickup.
  • If you miss your pickup appointment, your items will be brought back inside SAC Library. Email circulation staff to reschedule.
  • Items that are not picked up will be returned to the library shelves.
  • Staff can also scan chapters and articles from books and bound journals in support of Course Reserves and Interlibrary Loan.

Campus open?
  • SAC Library will remain closed to the public.
