Creative Arts Final Exam

Creative arts encompass a wide range of expressive activities, including visual arts, music, dance, and drama. These forms of artistic expression play a crucial role in the holistic development of young children.

This assignment aims to explore and analyze the influence of creative arts on various aspects of a child's development, including cognitivelanguagesocial-emotional, and physical domains. In addition to describing concepts taught through the creative arts.

Assignment Directions 

 The student will:

1) Develop a PowerPoint/Canva presentation on this topic.

2) These domains, cognitivelanguagesocial-emotional, and physical domains, must be covered in your PowerPoints (at least 2 slides per domain).

3) Each domain must include an example of how this looks at a childcare center or home. 

4) Include in your research a theorist (either in the reflective summary or in the learning domains). 

5) What did you learn, and how can you use this in your teaching practices?  (Reflective Summary) 

6) The presentation must include 3 or more reputable sources and include elements of visual design (including graphics, images, and organized design). Your presentation will be timed.  Prepare for 10 minutes. 

 

From our syllabus:

  • The use of AI as a resource may be used for a brainstorming tool, building outlines, or asking for explanations; however, it must be cited. 
  • Furthermore, an AI disclosure statement must be added to the end of your paper stating how you used AI. For example, “Generative AI Disclosure: I used AI to assist in the title creation, and for grammar feedback (include link here).
  • If you use AI without a reference or Disclosure Statement, you will receive a zero without an opportunity to redo it.
  • The use of AI to generate original assignments is prohibited.
