Testimonials:
Tom Bahlinger, Librarian
I would like to get students' feedback on comparing searches run in Discovery and the same searches run in specific databases. Our Discovery search tool has some major strengths and major weaknesses. Can students see these strengths and weaknesses? If they run the same search in Discovery and the same search in, say, Opposing Viewpoints, which results do they like better and why?  Students could write a brief paragraph stating their thoughts.
Karen Briere, Library

I have begun using predictive analysis in my library instruction classes.  Most recently when I taught a Marketing class we discussed the importance of knowing our target market (audience).  Students wrote what they "believed" to be their target market demographic for an upcoming marketing plan assignment.  In this exercise students predicted the number of people, gender, age, income level of their target market.  After some discussion we began researching to verify those predictions.  Students could then compare what they thought they knew to varying sources of statistics for information. They posted their findings in Padlet for their peers to read and to verify each others predictions and authoritative sources.
