Criticisms

Criticisms: All criticisms must adhere to a minimum of two-typed pages, following MLA format and the works cited information should be included on the last page of your assignment. To the right of each topic below, some rhetorical modes have been listed so that you can focus on either one or some of these patterns for your responses.

A.        Health Critic (Definition): You will select a health issue and locate two peer review journal articles as well as one article in health magazines and evaluate the content of the information and criticize if the information is useful for an individual who may want to learn about this health concern and your explanation of the material will help you through your analysis.

B.        Consumer Critic (Illustration/Definition/Causes and Effect/Argumentation): You will select an advertisement on a bill board, a magazine, a commercial, or an internet ad that you enjoyed or that you would like to critique and you will not only include your reaction to the advertisement but evaluate the role and purpose of the advertisement and include three researched sources with a focus on advertising. Note: All advertising examples should be appropriate for a general audience.
