You will be assigned a musical style period based on the musical style periods we are studying this semester. In a group of other students, research the historical context and cultural factors at work that affect the music we are studying, and set the scene for your fellow classmates.
Some factors you may choose to cover will include:
Draw out anything else that seems interesting to you about this style period. This presentation should take the form of slides, a poster, a video, or whatever else works for your group. It should take no longer than 10 minutes. The written portion of the product you submit will be a one-page or slide study guide of the musical characteristics of this particular style period, as articulated in the textbook and my notes. You will share this guide with your classmates just in time to study for the final exam. You will be graded on your participation and the final product.
