Collection Development Policy: Legal Administrative Assistant
To support the Legal Assisting curriculum, materials will be acquired to keep the
collection current on new theories and techniques in the field of law.
Scope of Coverage
Language : Generally, selection will be limited to English language publications.
Geography: United States publications are emphasized.
Chronology: Emphasis is placed on the purchase of materials published within
The last five years, except in areas covering the history of the subject.
All formats may be considered for purchase. Serials are heavily relied upon for current materials. CD-ROMs and DVDs are also purchased. When materials are available in traditional formats and computerized media, the decision to purchase one format or the other, or both, is based on frequency of need, convenience of use, need for multiple access, and price.
